Network outages are rare but can happen due to carrier maintenance, severe weather, or infrastructure issues. Here is what to do.
During an Outage
- Check the Device Status tool at devicestatus.xnetwifi.com for updates.
- Do not factory reset your device — outages are network-side and a reset will not help.
- Keep your device powered on so it reconnects automatically when service is restored.
- Contact support if you need a status update or if the outage persists beyond a few hours.
What to Expect
- Most outages are resolved within a few hours.
- Your service will restore automatically — no action needed on your end.
- If the outage is carrier-related (the underlying cellular network), resolution depends on the carrier's timeline.
After Service Is Restored
- Your device should reconnect automatically.
- If it does not, perform a simple power cycle (unplug for 30 seconds, plug back in).
- Check your speeds to make sure everything is back to normal.
