How to Change Your WiFi Name and Password

Last updated on Mar 17, 2026

You can change the default WiFi network name (SSID) and password on your XNET device through its admin panel.

Steps

  1. Connect to your XNET device via WiFi or Ethernet cable.
  2. Open a web browser and go to the device's admin page. The address is typically printed on the device label (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
  3. Log in with the admin credentials (default credentials are on the device label).
  4. Navigate to WiFi Settings (may be called Wireless, WLAN, or Network Settings depending on your device).
  5. Change the SSID (network name) to your preferred name.
  6. Change the password to a strong password you will remember.
  7. Save your changes.
  8. Reconnect all your devices using the new WiFi name and password.

Tips

  • Choose a unique WiFi name so you can easily find your network.
  • Use a strong password: at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • After changing settings, you will be disconnected and need to reconnect with the new credentials.
